    Good

easy to reach, car park available, suite very large with 2 bedrooms 140sqm with all facilities. It was was more an apartment than a hotel room.

we were surprised because there was no restaurant and no garden just a small swimming pool without heating system. only one blanket was available for 2 bedrooms. Hotel is a little bit noisy due to a poor sound isolating.

The tranquility and quiet so one could block out the world and rejuvenate. It was just so relaxing, but a hub to anything you wanted, beach, fishing, wildlife parks, great dining, river cruises etc.

We stayed here for five nights in a fabulous spacious two bedroom appartment with full kitchen faclities and a washing maching and dryer. Staff were extremely helpful with recommendations and booking a tour for us. It was a about a twenty-five minute walk along the beach to Port Douglas.

    Superb

Reasonably modern, Good location, nice layout which allows plenty of room including balcony and two bathrooms for three bedroom apartment. Pool, BBQ and entertainment area were awesome

Getting luggage to second level without lifts, air conditioner was faulty and worst of all no bottle opener

The view of the parking lot and only the parking lot from our room was great. We loved the petty selfishness of your staff asking us to be uncomfortable rather than using the air conditioning. We were so very pleased that the hotel provided no maid service at all, no fresh towel, no bed service. What a great hotel. We liked it so much that we moved to another hotel in Port Douglas rather than stay at the Mediterranean.

The petty nasty customer-hostile pricing. Sixty dollars for leaving a dish unwashed, eighty dollars an hour for each hour of late check out, five dollars for a towel at the pool, a full day's rent for reservation change, and doubtless other equally petty and inane. The fact of your management leasing the hotel from its owners and making its money by these nasty customer-adverse charges mitigates nothing. It may be why you are running a crappy hotel, but it does not in the least change the fact that you ARE running a crappy hotel. What you are running is quite close to being what is called in our country a "fine print fraud" In California you would lose your hotel license for that..

    Fabulous

Good quality accommodation, very clean and friendly. The unit was a good family size with pleasant decor, good kitchen area with modern appliances and a good sized balcony with dining table. Has a very nice pool area complete with a spa.

The air-con was not the best, lucky it wasn't too hot during our stay. The exterior did have damage that needed repair (roof area) and did make a bit of noise in a gusty wind. These are minor gripes though and it is a nice place to stay.

A very attractive place that is very well run - Craig was most obliging whenever we needed info. We enjoyed the quiet location.

Not a big deal but it would have been good to have salt and pepper supplied (or available if requested) and perhaps some paper towels and a cloth in the laundry for wiping. Not necessary for stays of a few days perhaps but as we were there for 12 and were only serviced once, it would have been useful.

    Superb

I stayed at the Mediterranean (2-bedroom apartment) for a couple of days. The apartment was clean, spacious and very well equipped. Perfect for my family of 5! The location is good, relatively close to the city center. All in all, a place I'd recommend to my friends!

Too bad Internet access comes at an additional cost (esp. since the signal is very weak in the apartment and requires for you to get closer to the hotel reception).

    Very good

Pool was not heated, bit cold for august! Didn't get the room we booked but the did adjust the price

    Superb

Craig at reception was exceptional. Very friendly, great tips and super helpful. Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable. The pool area was great to hang out.

The apartment was a bit dark as well as the outside area of the apartment which unfortunately didn't invite to hang out there (could go to the pool area though). The pool isn't heated so was abitto cold for our little boy to swim in.

    Fabulous

Size of the apartment was excellent, as were the pool and amenities.

Beds were too haed and pillows could have been better.

    Superb

We were met by Craig who is one of the Managers & he was extremely funny and made us feel very welcome. He informed us about the local transport, activities, best restaurants & tours available and marked everything out for us on a map. Our apartment was very spacious, clean & well appointed and we couldn't have asked for anything more especially for the very reasonable rates we paid. We are already planning our next trip to Port Douglas (even though we only got home 3 days ago) and we will definitely be staying at The Mediterranean again.

While The Mediterranean is about a 20-25 minute walk to Macrossan St (where the shops & restaurants are) there is also a shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes from the front door & drops you back again. In saying that, most times we chose to walk as the walk enabled us to feel a bit better about everything we ate & drank while dining at some of the amazing restaurants Port Douglas has to offer. "Nautilus" restaurant is an absolute "must do"... The atmosphere, service & especially the exceptional food is the best we have had anywhere in the world....it was absolutely extraordinary!!

The space, quality and facilities of our two bedroom self contained suite was excellent. The external spaces were high quality and very well maintained, including an attractive pool, poolside facilities, and landscaping. Management was not intrusive but very friendly, and helpful when required. The hotel itself is an attractive and relatively small complex in a pleasant area. It is quiet, despite being on the main road into the town. It is fairly close to the beach and a lively main centre and marina.

The wifi internet signal could only be reasonably accessed in or just outside the reception area

    Good

Large rooms, nice pool. Mix of rented rooms and owner occupier. A little way out of the central town areas so a long walk or bus/taxi in and out of the town. Easy access to the beach.

Our firat room did not have working air con but moved to a new room after 1 night. No one on site but easy to phone if any questions
